About Us

Rankin Family Ministries is an independent, non-denominational teaching and preaching ministry for all believers. Guided by the Holy Spirit, our mission is to further the Great Commission of Christ (as referenced in Matthew 28:19, 20, Mark 16:15 and John 20:21) by teaching believers of all denominations about their interrelatedness in the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:30) and by presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to non-believers as God gives opportunity.

This will enable the Body of Christ to be built up both corporately (as members of the Body) and individually (with whatever talents and gifts God has placed in that person), so that the Church can effectively carry out the Great Commission.

We are governed by a Board of Directors, made up of people from various denominations of the Church.

We are available for teaching and preaching, both in churches where we are invited and elsewhere, and ministry to believers in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (for both individuals and groups of believers).

James D. Rankin

B.S., Multidisciplinary Studies, 1999, University of Texas at San Antonio. Professional science teacher, certified by the State of Texas. Accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord in 1981. Volunteered at WPCB-TV (Cornerstone Television) in Pittsburgh, PA for announcer and voice-over work, 1994. Called to ministry the summer of 2003 while on the Crow Reservation in the state of Montana. Former associate minister of a church in Fayetteville, TX, 2004-2006. Fully ordained in 2006 by Bishop Baughman of Kentucky.

I am also a piper, and a member of the International Fellowship of Christian Pipers and Drummers. I love to play the great old hymns of the church on the bagpipes, and like to play for church services and worship calls.

Carolyn S. Rankin

Certified appraiser; graduated cum laude from the College of Appraisers, 2004. Made first confession of faith, 1974; fully surrendered to Jesus, 1987. Personal testimony, ministry in music in various churches in California, West Virginia and Texas.

Together we have ministered, operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (healing and the prophetic word) and in testimony and song.
